Years ago myself and a few friends used to spend our Friday evenings drinking and making rap songs. The current state of affairs around the global pandemic has split the opinions of the masses and polarized them against each other. I felt it was the perfect time to resurrect my rap alter ego MC2 and spit some bars about how I see things.

People run they mouth with nothing real to say
Hate this, hate that, split the world in two
Left, Right, Black, White - keeping the feud
Ever since this virus has been making the rounds
People joining camps, layin battlegrounds
Battle sounds of the clashing tide
Forcing all the soldiers to choose a side

Like we pawns, in two armies,
Breaking friendships, splittin' families
Pitting one, against the other
Friend vs friend, son vs mother
You vs them, US vs others
Breaking us down 'til we hate one another
Lie vs truth and Real vs Fake
A war is coming, can't ya feel the ground shake?

They taking rights, right out ya pocket
But they never walk, it like they talk it
Half of us believe them and the other half don't
Half of us are trying while the other half won't
Neither side can see the others point of view
Neither side concedes, so what we left to do?
